There are many great resources to search old newspaper archives online. The links below should help you get started with finding original source information on persons and news events.

Search Tips – Remember that most of these newspapers have been indexed by OCR – optical character reading. This technology can often miss words due to faded texts, missing parts of the paper, or hypenated words. Also, try spelling variations of your search term.

You can search and download images from the many newspapers in the digital collection.

    My Name is Jay and I work for the Health Care District and we are looking for photos of the Counties Poor Farm. The Healey Center is having it’s 100 yr celebration and we would like to use some photos but are having a tough time finding any.
